NSCS serves employers across America by providing a recruiting service uniquely designed to identify, screen, and present candidates with the appropriate experience, accomplishments, and company fit required.
Specialization
Supply Chain recruiting is all we do! Assessing mid to senior-level talent is our expertise acquired over many decades of successful placements. We have a sixth sense for distinguishing talent in all disciplines, and we're constantly developing our skills to match the needs of today's changing marketplace. Our success is based on a deep understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain and an excellent rapport with clients and candidates.
Your Investment
Depending on the specifics of a position, we work either on a contingency or retained basis. Our fees are competitive with comparable search firms, and we work with our clients to create a mutually acceptable service agreement.
Confidentiality
When a company seeks to fill a critical role without making it public, we will conduct a candidate search “under the radar.” During our recruiting process, all information and conversations with our client's designated representative are kept in strict confidence.
Search Methodology
Our candidate search effort always begins local to the assignment. When necessary, we'll expand our search to other areas of the country with the permission of the Employer and if Relocation Assistance is part of the compensation package. Our goal is to help our clients save valuable recruiting time and keep their hiring costs to a minimum.
Vetting Process
Proper candidate vetting is the key to a successful hire, and our vetting process is second to none! When we say we do the "heavy lifting," we're not kidding! To identify the most accomplished talent for a specific role, we methodically analyze a candidate's strengths and weaknesses by getting to know them personally as well as professionally.
Tangible vs Intangible Factors
What you see on a resume is only the tip of the iceberg. Before referring a candidate to our client, we examine not only relevant experience, but also the intangible factors that reflect suitability for a particular opportunity. Salary expectations, ability to relocate, real estate issues, family requirements, spousal employment considerations, and the potential of a counteroffer are explored and evaluated. By having serious discussions with candidates about these matters upfront, we not only save our clients valuable recruiting time but also significantly reduce the possibility of an employment offer being rejected.
Sourcing
One of the ways we identify accomplished professionals is by continually reaching out to the Supply Chain community whom we communicate with daily. Over the years we've developed a network of contacts from every segment of American business who regularly lead us to available senior-level professionals seeking their next career opportunity. Often they are currently employed and at the beginning of their job search, desirous of working with a recruiting firm that will keep their search confidential. Through this process, we've referred many extraordinary candidates to our clients, talent usually not accessible through other sources.
Education Requirements
We set the bar very high! All candidates we present to our clients are degreed, often with advanced degrees and certifications. Over the years, membership organizations serving the Supply Chain profession have created numerous designations and certifications (CSCP, CPIM, CPM, etc.), now an essential part of the educational requirements of Supply Chain leaders today. The candidates we represent are also accomplished in their field, with a proven record of effective cost savings.
Company Fit
We do not underestimate the importance of an employee’s fit within an organization, always critical to long-term ROI. After talking to thousands of Supply Chain executives over the years, we’ve learned to recognize not only their skillset and accomplishments but also their ability to fit within our client company’s culture. In assessing a candidate’s suitability, we study the intangible traits you can't see in a resume, i.e., motivation, team building, growth potential, leadership/mentoring qualities, communication skills, and ability to accept a position at the location and compensation offered.
Customer Satisfaction
It all comes down to this: Our client’s time is an expensive commodity, and our job is not to waste it! We work hard to earn the trust of our clients to become their provider of choice in identifying the best talent available to propel their company forward. Clients appreciate our professionalism, responsiveness, and efficiency - while saving money and a whole lot of frustration! We're dedicated to providing first-class customer service to both our clients and candidates!
